A view now lost
Description
The fishermen's huts at South Gare on the River Tees are full of character, with each almost resembling a home away from home. In the distance is the blast furnace from the Redcar steelworks. Once producing steel for some of the most recognisable structures in the world, the site is now quiet, the blast furnace demolished. I'm glad I was able to capture this photograph and that I was able to see it up close before it was gone - another industrial relic confined to history and the scrap heap.
