The most surprising sunset I've ever seen

Description

Picture the scene - I was driving in to work early (my 'proper' job) and I knew the forecast looked promising for a nice sunrise, so I thought I'd take my camera with me and try my luck along the Quayside. Not long after I'd set off, it was absolutely lashing down with rain and, with the still completely dark conditions, I was so close to calling it off and heading straight to the office for a really early start. I'm not sure why but I thought I'd persevere and I'm glad I did. On arriving it was dry, and the horizon to the East looked exactly as forecast. When the sunlight hit the underside of those clouds, I've never seen such colours, before or since. It provided the perfect backdrop to the Tyne Bridge which beautifully framed the Sage and the Millennium Bridge
