Medusa

The swirling, gnarly trees in this scene reminded me of old film version of Medusa - her head a swirling mass of snakes. Here the multiple trees with multiple trunks provided an almost symmetrical foreground to the moody, somewhat misty woodland beyond. This was my first visit to the woodland around Tunstall Reservoir and it certainly won't be the last.
